Cyclists, walkers and dogs welcome

The Sun Inn is ideally situated for walkers and cyclists alike. Surrounded by beautiful countryside it is just across the Shropshire boarder in Herefordshire and within a few miles of Mid Wales and offas dyke.
The Sun welcomes walkers and cyclists alike. As you’d expect a pub that boasts to once having a dog as it’s Mayor we are of course also dog friendly.
During the building project those requiring food can get freshly cooked fish and chips  from the chip shop next door(Tuesday to Saturday). Ploughman cheese/pork pie lunches can be provided by arrangement for larger parties providing prior notice is received.

The Sun has it’s own newly formed ale based cycling society aptly named “On Yer Bike Sun". A more motley looking crew you are unlikely to meet.

Tim is carrying out research while cycling from the Scilly Isles to the Shetland Isles via various pubs and breweries on route. Of course no such journey would be complete without a visit to the Sun. Nice work if you can get it.

Sun on the BBC

The Sun Inn is to appear once again on national television on BBC 1 in the programme "Country Tracks".
Although, filmed in the Sun’s famous Red Brick Bar in March this year, it is hoped that it will also feature unique footage of much loved and sadly missed former landlady Flossie Lane. Pub regular Wayne Smith captured Floss on film during the Annual Beer Festival in August 2007 and kindly donated a copy to the BBC to use in the show.Country Tracks will be shown on Sunday 10th October at 11am.

Sun Band make Finals

Sun Inn regulars Ross and Haydon of the pubs resident band Bridge 32 have made it through to the regional finals of Open Mic UK.

Consent Granted

After what seems like many months of meetings and consultation it was a great surprise and huge relief when Planning permission and listed building consent was granted on 24th May 2010.
